Vortech Supercharged 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS
Ever wonder how much horsepower the 2010 Camaro SS would make if you supercharged its 6.2 liter LS3 V8? Well how's 603 horsepower sound to you? That's with just 8.5 psi and a Corsa catback exhaust system, imagine if you did a little forge internal work and upped the boost. 600 horsepower sounds enough to me though, this gets the Camaro running 4.1 seconds in a 0 to 60mph test. The big turnout I wanted to see is the 1/4 mile time, I was kind of disappointed, the Camaro ran only 12.33 in the 1/4 mile at 115.4 mph. You would think it would at least touch into the 11s with 600 horsepower, it might be because of the weight and the IRS suspension. Low 12s is still a respectable number though, maybe with some computer tuning and a good set of drag radials the supercharged Camaro could dip into the 11s.
I'm very impressed with how clean the Vortech supercharged kit looks in the engine bay of the 2010 Camaro. It almost looks as if the supercharger came stock with the Camaro, it truly fits in real nice. I did manage to dig up a video of the Vortech supercharged Camaro on YouTube, if you check it out down below you get to hear the cool sound of the blower. There's nothing like a nice wine from a Vortech blower, it really screams don't mess with me when you're out on the road. I definitely give the Vortech blow two thumbs up!
This is a small video of the 2010 Camaro Edmunds supercharged with a Vortech blower. The muscle car sure looks sharp out on the road, watch the video to see it perform!
