Smoker Craft Millentia with 75hp Outboard
I finally got pictures of my new 2000 Smoker Craft Millentia fishing boat, on back of the Smoker Craft is a 75 horsepower outboard. This is definitely enough horsepower to get this baby up and running, it's able to go 40mph on a really calm day. That's enough to get me to my favorite fishing spot in no time. I really can't wait to do some fishing this spring!
The boat is kind of the reason I have been posting muscle car articles on this site in the last few days. First I had to install a hitch on my girlfriend's Dodge Durango, that took two days or so, reason is I couldn't unscrew the old rusted out bolts. I had to buy a breaker bar at Home Depot and get the right millimeter sockets for the bolts. After that unscrewing the rusted bolts wasn't too bad, don't ever try doing this with a regular wrench. I actually broke two of my wrenches trying to do it.
After I got the hitch on, well what do you know the Durango's back brakes start squealing, I'm thinking in my head "oh boy!" Now I'm going to have to do a brake job! And this was no ordinary brake job, I had to do the rotors and all. The back rotors were so screwed up, the front ones weren't bad but I replaced them anyways. The Dodge Durango has 86,000 miles on it so I thought we might as well do everything.
Eventually another problem surfaced, most of the electronics weren't working on the boat, we had to try and figure out that problem. Luckily it was just a disconnected wire. See there's a lot of things that come up when you buy a boat, not everything's peaches and cream. It definitely costs some cash too to get everything running right.
Finally, everything seems to be working. I'm going to be able to take the boat out for the first time tomorrow. Hopefully we can catch a few fish, I'm hoping for some pike and walleye. It will just be great cruising around in the boat, that's for sure.
When I was working my Smoker Craft boat and Dodge Durango, I had to pull my 2004 SVT Mustang Cobra and 2002 Trans Am WS.6 out of the garage. I got a picture of the two together, I would of pulled the two closer together but I was lazy. Both of the rides were pretty clean when I shot this photo. Since I got my boat in the garage now, I had to push one of the muscle cars out of the garage. Since the SVT Cobra is a limited edition muscle car and it only has 1,000 miles on it, well it looks like the Trans Am is going to have to sit outside for awhile. Well that's until I can move my SVT Cobra into storage. Now after a few days of rain, the poor Trans Am is all dirty again. Man I wish I had a three car garage! But hey, I'm just thankful I have two great muscle cars and a cool fishing boat. I really couldn't ask God for anything else!
Here's the picture of the two muscle cars together: my silver 2002 Pontiac Trans Am WS.6 and my black on black 2004 Ford SVT Mustang Cobra(codenamed Terminator). Kind of a crappy shot of the two, but I was in a hurry to get the brakes done on the Dodge Durango. Maybe when I clean the Trans Am up again I'll get some better photos.
