Steve Saleen SMS 302 Ford Mustang

Steve Saleen's new performance company has just rolled out an incredible muscle car, he has dubbed it the SMS 302 Mustang. The muscle car is truly incredible, making 440 horsepower and 400 foot pounds of torque from the naturally aspirated 302 4V. The Mustang definitely reminds me of the Saleen Mustang. The outside is sporting 20 inch custom chrome wheels, a body kit, and a suspension upgrade. In the 0-60mph the muscle car goes under 4.5 seconds. Not a bad number for a naturally aspirated Mustang, can't wait to see what the car can do on the track in 1/4 mile.

Camaro5Fest: Largest Camaro Gathering Ever

This is just plain awesome, when a bunch of automotive enthusiasts gather together to show of their muscle cars. It's even cooler when it's all Camaros, this is what happened at the Camaro5Fest in Valdosta, Georgia. More than 1000 Camaro fans attented the muscle car event. These gear heads are so devoted to their hobby that they drove all the way from Canada and other US states. Several members of the Camaro team attended, including Camaro Chief Engineer Al Oppenheiser, Vehicle Line Director Peter Kosak, Camaro Marketing Manager John Fitzpatrick, and Camaro Product Manager Cheryl Pilcher. It would of been a passion of mine to attend the event, I just don't have the gas money, lol. Sounds like a lot of Camaro owners had a fun time though.

Revamped Charger for Fast and Furious 4

So what did you guys think of the new Dodge Charger for Fast and Furious 4? I for one didn't really like it, the mesh grille in front looked tacky and the primered paint job is just ugly. I did like the billet polished forged wheels on the Charger, that looked pretty sharp on the Charger. I still don't think it looked as good as the original Dodge Charger in Fast and Furious, that one was just bad ass. The glossy paint job and the massive blower supercharger in front was just awesome!

The muscle car that really caught my attention was the 1970 Chevelle, that car was just supreme bad ass. Yeah it did have a scrubby paint job just like the Charger, but I loved the wheel stand it did in the middle of the movie. It's definitely one muscle car would of loved to own in my garage.

Charger vs. Supra: Who do you think would really Win?

If the Toyota Supra and Dodge Charger was to race in real life, who do you think would really win? I think the 1970 Dodge Charger would win hands down. In the movie Vin Diesel suggested the muscle car was running like 900 horsepower and pulling 9s in the 1/4 mile. Now I'm not saying the Supra can't reach those figures, I just think it may have a harder time doing it. The Dodge Charger just had a massive engine and blower in the movie, it would be really hard to match that. Plus, what can I say, I'm a muscle car guy. I would hate to see the 1970 Dodge Charger lose.

Rayovac Sportsman Xtreme LED Flashlight

Well I needed a new flashlight for working on my Trans Am and Mustang Cobra, so what else to do but checkout the automotive department store Murrays. I was mainly looking for something bright with a long lasting battery life. I found the Rayovac Sportsman Xtreme LED Flashlight, it's pretty bad ass. The flashlight lasts 100 hours and has a 150 lumens, can't beat that package for a retail store. There are some better flashlights on the net, but if anything breaks you have to ship the flashlight back to them. The Rayovac Sportsman comes with a lifetime warranty and if it breaks, just have to go right up to Murrays for a new one! Another cool feature is the flashlight is water resistant, so if I ever drop it in a puddle or lake it won't screw up the electrical system in it. It's the best deal I could find at a retail store. The whole flashlight is made out of anodized aluminum too, so it can really withstand a drop! I for one am better prepared now if I have a tire blowout or I need to service on of my muscle cars immediately, it's definitely one sweet flashlight. Just a warning too, never shin the light in someones eyes, man it blinds them for a good minute or two. Sucker sure is bright!

The Fast and the Furious (2001) HQ Trailer

The trailer from the first Fast the Furious movie brings back a lot of memories for me. The trailer came out in 2001, back in these days I was pretty deep into the car scene. Showing up at a lot of street races and out on the track quite a bit. Gratiot was very popular these days too, my friend who owned a IROC-Z28 was street racing a lot. I was with him just about every weekend out on Gratiot and we got into a little bit of trouble here and there. Nothing really bad though, thank God. The reason I thought of this trailer and the movie is because a few guys at the bar did a little karaoke, of course the song they covered was "My Way," from Limp Bizkit.

Man it really makes me want to put the insurance back on my Trans Am and get out on Woodward. But, the weather has been up and down lately. Yesterday it was 40 degrees out, that's very cold and too cold to go hang out on Woodward.

I also remember the time some of my high school friends and I went to go see the movie in the theater. Some of them were talking all this shit about car racing. Deep down I knew a lot of these so called friends of mine back in the day were such posers. Street racing ended up becoming a fad in early 2000 and just like any fad everyone wanted to become cool and a part of that fad. Me for instance loved cars ever since I was five, every since my Dad took me out to my first Woodward Dream Cruise I knew I was hooked. I wanted my first muscle car soon as I got my driver license, but never got my first muscle car till end of senior year in High School. It was a 1998 LS1 Camaro Z28, the car moved pretty well stock.

Now the year is 2010, about ten years later... And guess what, nothing has changed with me. Still going out to car shows and cruises, now I own two muscle cars: 2002 Trans Am WS.6 and a 2004 SVT Mustang Cobra. I don't mess around, when I get into a hobby I dive right in with full force. But some of those idiots I hung around with back in the olden days, just like everyone else they ditched the car hobby. Man do I hate people who are fake! Nowadays, I have a small group of tight friends and only hang out with people who aren't fake and have a good personality. But there still is a lot of assholes in the car hobby though, have to look out for them. I've been through it all and can pick them out in a heart beat. Now I just love chillin' and talking about cars with some of my tight nit friends. That's what the car hobby is all about, enjoyment!

Ford Racing High-Flow Intake

Now offered for 2005 - 2010 Ford Mustangs is a performance intake by Ford Racing. The new intake features high flow runners and an open plenum design for better fitment. With the right cam and head package you can see around 40 more horsepower on your 4.6 liter Mustang engine. The intake retails for $549.95, for additional 40 possible horsepower that's not a bad price.

Galpin Ford Dealer for Hurst Performance Vehicles

In the sometime future Galpin Ford in North Hills, California will be offering Hurst Performance vehicles. This is a pretty smart move for Galpin since they are known for their customized rides on shows such as Pimp My Ride and others. Currently they offer Shelby, Saleen, and Roush Mustangs at their dealership. And now that Hurst customized rides will be an option for muscle car fans, I'm sure this will drive a lot of publicity their way, which could possibly mean more sales. Hey I'm all for it, I always like to hear American products selling! Anything to get the American economy back on track, right?

American Muscle Project Car: Legend Lime 2005 Mustang V6

Down below are great videos from youtube that show you how to customize a 2005 V6 Lime Green Mustang. Even though it's a V6, Dave Kaeck from American Muscle shows muscle car enthusiasts that you can still budge a little horsepower out of a six banger. Also featured in the video out exterior enhancements such as custom wheels, hood scoop, and head lights. These are exceptionally well done videos and anyone who has a hard time customizing their car should definitely check them out.

Photo Leaks of the 2011 Camaro Convertible

Chevy has just leaked out some photos of the 2011 Camaro convertible on Facebook. The muscle car never looked better, the drop top looks sleek and goes along with the muscle quite well. When I first thought of the Camaro convertible in the back of my mind, I thought it would look kind of ugly and out of place. I mean the Camaro is just too bulky and big for a drop top feature, but boy was I wrong. The muscle car looks bad ass, by no means the convertible option look out of place on the 2011 Camaro. The rear shot of the Camaro looks great too, I have to admit I'm a big of an ass man when it comes to muscle cars. I like ass ends just as much as the front!
