Classic American Muscle Cars Group on Facebook

You might want to check this out, Facebook actually has a group on their social website called Classic American Muscle Cars. There's about 4,000 fans in the group! What I really like about the group is their mission statement, "get people to hate imports, and respect all their domestic automakers."

1958 Plymouth Fury from the Movie Christine

There's not one car that puts more fear into people's hearts than the 1958 Plymouth Fury from the movie Christine, the movie is a classic! The movie was actually based off of a Stephen King novel, then John Carpenter decided to direct it. The combination of Carpenter and Stephen King joining forces is what made the movie great!

You also might notice that John Stockwell was in the movie, you might know him as Cougar from Top Gun, he ends up playing Arnie Cunningham's best friend. Other popular actors in the movie were Alexandra Paul, Kelly Preston, and Harry Dean Stanton.

It was kind of surprising to me when I first watched the movie, I really never thought that a 1958 Plymouth Fury could be that scary. By the end of the movie I wanted to own the car! Other great cars in the movie was a Dodge Charger and a Chevy Camaro Z28. The movie has definitely gone down in muscle car history as a classic!

It would be great if a good quality director brought Christine back to life. Maybe even changing the car, let's say using either a 2010 Camaro SS or a 2010 Dodge Challenger SRT8. I'm sure though, nothing will be better than the original. It would just be great if producers and directors in Hollywood made more muscle car movies!

Check this out, Treasure Hunt actually made a small diecast model of the 1958 Plymouth Fury. Man it would be really cool to have this model on my mantel.

1967 Pontiac GTO from xXx Movie

This is definitely one of my favorite muscle cars from Hollywood, whoever put together the 1967 Pontiac GTO from xXx, boy do I have high respect for them. I love how the missiles looked shooting out of the ram air hood scoop, very neat. If only the movie had better acting, it could of got better ratings. I still liked it though for just being an action movie. Word on the street is Vin Diesel is returning back for a sequel, it's going to be called "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage," set to come out next year for 2011. I hope the awesome Pontiac GTO comes back for a cameo.
