Lee Iacocca Silver Ford Mustang

Just this past year Ford created one of the most beautiful muscle cars ever known to man. The muscle car, the Lee Iacocca Silver 45th Anniversary Edition Ford Mustang, breath taking isn't it? I've never seen a Mustang with sleeker lines than this, it truly redefines the words smooth. Everything about the custom Mustang is just wonderful. As you might have noticed, the Mustang was built for Lee Iacocca. Iacocca was involved with the design of several successful Ford automobiles, most notably the Ford Mustang, the Lincoln Continental Mark III, the Ford Fiesta and the revival of the Mercury brand in the late 1960s.

I thought this was a very honorary action by Ford, I just wish they made more of them. Only 45 of these custom Mustang were made. It would of been great if they made this Mustang a true production muscle car, kind of like what Ford did with the Bullitt and the Mach 1 Mustang. But hey, I don't want to be greedy, I'm just glad Ford made this cool muscle car.

Performance wise, Mustang enthusiasts had a choice between a naturally aspirated 4.6 liter engine with 320 horsepower or a supercharged 400 horsepower engine. I definitely would of opted for the supercharged motor, 400 horsepower sounds really good to me. Other mods include a sporty suspension by Ford Racing and a custom interior with Iacocca embroidery all around.

Over all the interior and performances are great, but what's really going to make this muscle car memorable is its exterior. I mean just look at the rear bumper, have you ever seen exhaust tips like that? They are sucked right into the bumper, they blend right in with the bumper, I've been longing to see something like this done on a Ford Mustang. Saleen did it a few times with their models, but nothing quite cool as this. Other cool features I like on the exterior are the aggressive headlights, ponyless grille, and the one of a kind custom 20 inch rims. The louvers on the side of the Mustang window looks great as well.

All in all, this Mustang will go down in muscle car history as the best of the best(Top Gun). I just hope 45 of them make their homes in a caring muscle car owner's garage. If one of them doesn't, I'll make room for you! Lol, yeah in my dreams! Maybe I'll get to see one at the 2010 Woodward Dream Cruise this year, that would be really cool.

Criminal Justice Barricade Mustang

This is kind of funny, I was on facebook today when I saw a little ad on the side that was talking about getting a degree in criminal justice. It was a little appealing so I clicked on the ad, come to find out there's Barricade on the criminal justice website. Some webmaster is trying to pedal educational opportunities for unemployed people. Kind of funny, this is a big copyright infringement using a custom Mustang from a movie. And yet facebook published the ad on their website.

Overhaulin with Chip Foose

Where do I start, the guy is a legend, a muscle car God! It's so amazing one man can be this talented, wait I know, Chip Foose isn't human! Well actually he is, this guy can turn any beaten down old muscle car and turn it into a muscle car masterpiece. I just got done watching his show Overhaulin on TLC where he restored an old 1972 Dodge Challenger. I saw a post on a forum stating a writer from Mopar Muscle Magazine said Overhaulin is fiction, the show is not real and it's impossible to make a show quality car in seven days. All I can say is haters!

The show is real and Chip Foose and his team does a wonderful job creating a show quality car. Just check out picture I posted of the 1972 Dodge Challenger they overhauled, the muscle car is just magnificant. I just love the deep dish wheels in back and the two tone paint job, it's totally unreal. When Chip Foose designs a car he doesn't keep anything back, he goes all out with effort. This custom Dodge Challenger he did on Overhaulin is proof.

Have you ever seen how Chip Foose starts off his restoration. He first draws out a picture of what the muscle car could look like then he goes from there. His drawings aren't amatuer either, they are definitely artistic and amazing looking. Almost looks like Michelangelo just drew a picture of a muscle car. Did you guys know he designed the 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 from "Gone in 60 Seconds," better known as Eleanor? Well he did and ever since then every Mustang enthusiasts in the world wants his classic or new age Mustang to look just like Eleanor. There's actually a few companies that have developed packages for the new age Mustang to look just like the Mustang from the movie, one company I know off the top of my head is Ronaele. Also I bet you the main reason Ford brought back the new 2010 Shelby GT500 is because of Chip Foose. Basically Ford saw what kind of response Eleanor got from movie, they had no choice but to bring back the Shelby GT500.

Sometimes I don't think Chip Foose gets enough credit. I grew up in and still live in Detroit(MotorCity) Michigan. When I was working security for Motorcity Casino in Michigan, come to find out Chip Foose was the one who help design the theme for the casino, he actually designed the curvy custom roof on top of the casino. Next time you're in the area check out the roof top, well how about this, I just show you a picture here. Isn't that just incredible? Chip Foose not only designs muscle cars, he actually helped design a building too. I really hope by now Chip Foose is a millionaire, if he isn't I will be very pissed off!

Yes, I do have even more to say about the muscle car God. Chip Foose now has his own website ChipFoose.com, where you can buy all types of Chip Foose apparel. Believe it or not he has is own line of custom wheels now. You might have seen his Chip Foose wheels on some muscle cars at car shows and car cruises. They sure look good, I just love the deep dish look and the triple plated chrome job. I might just buy a set for my 2004 SVT Cobra Mustang one day, I bet they'd look great on my Mustang.

Believe it or not I had my own chance to meet Chip Foose when he was at the casino, but because I was working I couldn't move from my post. It really sucked, a few of my friends got to meet Chip Foose though, they told me how great of a guy he was. He even signed a shirt for them. Maybe one day I'll get to meet him, if not, oh well. I'll keep watching the show and dream that one day he will overhaul my muscle car.

2003-2004 SVT Mustang Cobra

One of the biggest bangs for your buck is the 2003-2004 SVT Mustang Cobra. Right now you're able to pick up one of these bad boys for a cheap price. I know one of my friends bought a comp orange Cobra Mustang for a reasonable price off Craigslist. The original owner already had a lot of mods done so he didn't have to toss much money into it to get some big horsepower out of the car. But if you're looking to buy a SVT Mustang Cobra, I just want to let you know with a few extra bucks you can be pumping out 600 horsepower.

It's true, with just a new pulley, set of long tube headers, K&N air filter, and a good tune and you're in the ball park of 600 horsepower. Remember stock this muscle car can go 12.6 in the 1/4 mile, imagine tacking on 200 horsepower to this Mustang. It's definitely a good buy, to find one I suggest checking out Craigslist or Ebay. Autotrader is a good finder too, but sometimes muscle car owners are asking a lot of money for vehicles like this.

ROUSH Ford Mustang Rear Wing Spoiler

Hook your Ford Mustang up with a rear wing spoiler from Roush. It's definitely one of the best looking spoilers around, the great thing is it's light weight and rigid. The spoiler delivers superior appearance, toughness, light-weight, heat resistance, impact resistant, and best yet, the spoiler is made in the U.S.A. The kit is designed around original manufacturer CAD data for optimum quality and fit. Installation is quick and easy. There is no time consuming trimming or sanding required as there is with our competitors' body kits. This pretty much makes it one of the best exterior modifications around for your Ford Mustang.

High Performance Corsa Catback Exhaust

If you're looking for one of the best catback exhausts, check out the exhaust system by Corsa. It's one of the cleanest exhaust systems around, the fitment is very good and the metal they use is stainless steel. If you use the proper stainless steel cleaner and a microfiber cloth and clean the system every year, this exhaust system can last for a lifetime. The Corsa exhaust system is no ordinary exhaust either, it flows very well, expect to pick up an extra 25 horsepower. Another feature I like about the Corsa exhaust system are the high polished tips, they stand out from the other exhaust systems, they are very sharp. All this though comes at a very high price though, expect to pay around $800 for a Corsa exhaust system, but personally I think it's well worth it. This is truly one of the best premium exhausts around you can get for an American muscle car. And I almost forgot, the tone coming from this exhaust system is real clean, expect no drone or rasp from the Corsa catback exhaust.

Ford Mustang Sequential Taillights

One of my favorite parts of the 2010 Ford Mustang is the sequential taillights, when I first saw them on the new Mustang I thought they were aftermarket. I also thought sequential lights were illegal to have out on the road, the cops pretty much pull us muscle car drivers over for anything these days, that's why I thought that. I know one of my buddies who got pulled over for having Euro lights on his Ford Mustang. And I know a lot of people who get pulled over for driving with tinted windows and the tints they had were legal. This would be a cool mod to have for my 2002 Trans Am WS.6 or my 2004 SVT Mustang Cobra, I wonder if there's a company that makes them. So next time you see a 2010 Ford Mustang you see it turning, watch for the cool sequential taillights.

Drop Top Customs Convertible Camaro

To start the new year off right Droptop Customs decided to create their very own custom convertible Chevrolet Camaro. I think this was a good idea since the Camaro convertible will not be available until 2011. Being true to the lines of the car, Droptop Customs made the top line much as the factory would have, complete with a working glass quarter window. Not only does this enhance the limited rear seat visibility this car in known for, it stays true to the line the car. This is something muscle car enthusiasts really look for, they don't want a messed up looking Camaro, muscle car guys and gals want the lines right on! It's truly a solid muscle car all around, the Camaro convertible made it's debut at the 2010 SEMA show. Orders are currently being taken for the Camaro Convertible so you too can say Transformation Complete.

Vortech Supercharged 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS

Ever wonder how much horsepower the 2010 Camaro SS would make if you supercharged its 6.2 liter LS3 V8? Well how's 603 horsepower sound to you? That's with just 8.5 psi and a Corsa catback exhaust system, imagine if you did a little forge internal work and upped the boost. 600 horsepower sounds enough to me though, this gets the Camaro running 4.1 seconds in a 0 to 60mph test. The big turnout I wanted to see is the 1/4 mile time, I was kind of disappointed, the Camaro ran only 12.33 in the 1/4 mile at 115.4 mph. You would think it would at least touch into the 11s with 600 horsepower, it might be because of the weight and the IRS suspension. Low 12s is still a respectable number though, maybe with some computer tuning and a good set of drag radials the supercharged Camaro could dip into the 11s.

I'm very impressed with how clean the Vortech supercharged kit looks in the engine bay of the 2010 Camaro. It almost looks as if the supercharger came stock with the Camaro, it truly fits in real nice. I did manage to dig up a video of the Vortech supercharged Camaro on YouTube, if you check it out down below you get to hear the cool sound of the blower. There's nothing like a nice wine from a Vortech blower, it really screams don't mess with me when you're out on the road. I definitely give the Vortech blow two thumbs up!

This is a small video of the 2010 Camaro Edmunds supercharged with a Vortech blower. The muscle car sure looks sharp out on the road, watch the video to see it perform!

Convertible Option for 2011 Chevrolet Camaro

Recent news in the muscle car world is there will be a convertible option for the 2011 Chevrolet Camaro. It was kind of sad when Fritz Henderson sad the convertible wouldn't be offered for 2010, but after the recent question and answer session on the GM Fastlane Blog in which Henderson stated the option will be available for 2011 my spirits were lifted.
