Lots of 2010 Camaros in Michigan

It's such a beautiful muscle car, every time I see it out on the road the 2010 Camaro grabs my attention. It's no surprise to me that I see them ever where I go traveling in Michigan. Just the other day I decided to hit up Cabelas, it was about a 45 minute drive on the higway. During which I saw two Camaros, saw a black one and a yellow one. Both looking great, but if I had my choice I would go with the black, it just looks so dam sinister. "Back in black I hit the sack!" - ACDC First song that comes to mind every time I see a brand new black 2010 Camaro. The muscle car sure is sharp, still haven't got the opportunity to drive one though. Last year a guy in my friend's car club out on Woodward let me sit in one, pretty impressed with the interior. The seating just grabs you, perfect for racing out on the track. Well, maybe one day I'll drive one, but for now I'm just going to have to be satisfied with seeing them cruise all over our state of Michigan. I wonder if consumers are starting to buy the 2010 Camaro in other states?

Muscle Car Speed Traps

Just read a wonderful post about speed traps on MSN's news site. MSN's writer Erik Sofge claims "it's not a trap, but a necessary evil, and a crucial deterrent to keep speeders in constant fear for their licenses." I agree with his statement, but I don't like the word "necessary." Sofge is saying it's bad, but it's still ok because it deters drivers from speeding. The truth is stuff like this is just keeping cities and the state above ground because of the ongoing recession. And the police are really not doing their jobs as law enforcement officers of the community. They suppose to "serve and protect," not be bill collectors for the government. That's how I look at speed traps, I think the whole "deterrent speeder" statement is bullshit, it's just a reason for the city and states why they do this form of law enforcement. Speeders will speed no matter what, eventually they'll end up losing their license anyways. Speed traps just get the average citizen who travels from home to work every day. It's bad enough they are killing us with gas prices and car insurance, speed traps are the icing on the cake. What the cops do need on their police car is "to punish and enslave," just like decal read on the Saleen Mustang cop car in Transformers.

26 Gallon Husky Air Compressor: 150 PSI

Well I decided to go out and buy a 26 gallon Husky Air Compressor at Home Depot the other day. I needed it, sick of stopping at the gas station every time I have to fill up my tires on my muscle cars. And since I have a fishing boat now with a pretty big trailer, I need to keep my trailer tires filled at all times. So far the Husky air compressor runs great, easy to use and fills up with air pretty quick, but it is pretty noisy though. Nothing two little ear plugs can't fix.

It's nice though, if my Dad ever needs air in his Cadillac he comes over and uses my air compressor too. And now if I ever need to sand blast I'm ready! I've been meaning to sand blast my winter rims, the clear coat is off on them and they are all rusted out, there's corrosion all over them. It's not like I care because they are my winter rims, but it would still be nice to have good looking rims on my Trans Am. I'm still going to hold off on that though, that could be a weeks worth of work. Polishing one wheel can take up to a two days sometimes, that's if you do it right!

A few air compressor tools came with the Huksy Air Compressor as well. Air compressor impact gun and another tool I think you can use for polishing. It was a nice package and I think it set me back around $180 or so, can't remember and I'm too lazy to go and find the receipt. I'm pretty happy with my purchase though, something like this is needed if you're a gear head like me. Another thing I bought when I was out was a better jack floor jack for my girlfriends truck. The aluminum Duralast I bought for my 2004 SVT Cobra and 2002 Trans Am WS.6 just does not get the done well with the Dodge Durango. The Duralast floor jack is rated at 3 tons, but it had a hard time jacking up the truck and it can barely lift the truck of the ground. The jack doesn't jack up high enough. But hey, that's another another post topic. Anyways, here's a cool looking picture of the 26 gallon Husky Air Compressor in my garage, nothing special, but it gets the job done quite well!
