Overhaulin with Chip Foose

Where do I start, the guy is a legend, a muscle car God! It's so amazing one man can be this talented, wait I know, Chip Foose isn't human! Well actually he is, this guy can turn any beaten down old muscle car and turn it into a muscle car masterpiece. I just got done watching his show Overhaulin on TLC where he restored an old 1972 Dodge Challenger. I saw a post on a forum stating a writer from Mopar Muscle Magazine said Overhaulin is fiction, the show is not real and it's impossible to make a show quality car in seven days. All I can say is haters!

The show is real and Chip Foose and his team does a wonderful job creating a show quality car. Just check out picture I posted of the 1972 Dodge Challenger they overhauled, the muscle car is just magnificant. I just love the deep dish wheels in back and the two tone paint job, it's totally unreal. When Chip Foose designs a car he doesn't keep anything back, he goes all out with effort. This custom Dodge Challenger he did on Overhaulin is proof.

Have you ever seen how Chip Foose starts off his restoration. He first draws out a picture of what the muscle car could look like then he goes from there. His drawings aren't amatuer either, they are definitely artistic and amazing looking. Almost looks like Michelangelo just drew a picture of a muscle car. Did you guys know he designed the 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 from "Gone in 60 Seconds," better known as Eleanor? Well he did and ever since then every Mustang enthusiasts in the world wants his classic or new age Mustang to look just like Eleanor. There's actually a few companies that have developed packages for the new age Mustang to look just like the Mustang from the movie, one company I know off the top of my head is Ronaele. Also I bet you the main reason Ford brought back the new 2010 Shelby GT500 is because of Chip Foose. Basically Ford saw what kind of response Eleanor got from movie, they had no choice but to bring back the Shelby GT500.

Sometimes I don't think Chip Foose gets enough credit. I grew up in and still live in Detroit(MotorCity) Michigan. When I was working security for Motorcity Casino in Michigan, come to find out Chip Foose was the one who help design the theme for the casino, he actually designed the curvy custom roof on top of the casino. Next time you're in the area check out the roof top, well how about this, I just show you a picture here. Isn't that just incredible? Chip Foose not only designs muscle cars, he actually helped design a building too. I really hope by now Chip Foose is a millionaire, if he isn't I will be very pissed off!

Yes, I do have even more to say about the muscle car God. Chip Foose now has his own website ChipFoose.com, where you can buy all types of Chip Foose apparel. Believe it or not he has is own line of custom wheels now. You might have seen his Chip Foose wheels on some muscle cars at car shows and car cruises. They sure look good, I just love the deep dish look and the triple plated chrome job. I might just buy a set for my 2004 SVT Cobra Mustang one day, I bet they'd look great on my Mustang.

Believe it or not I had my own chance to meet Chip Foose when he was at the casino, but because I was working I couldn't move from my post. It really sucked, a few of my friends got to meet Chip Foose though, they told me how great of a guy he was. He even signed a shirt for them. Maybe one day I'll get to meet him, if not, oh well. I'll keep watching the show and dream that one day he will overhaul my muscle car.
