Lee Iacocca Silver Ford Mustang
Just this past year Ford created one of the most beautiful muscle cars ever known to man. The muscle car, the Lee Iacocca Silver 45th Anniversary Edition Ford Mustang, breath taking isn't it? I've never seen a Mustang with sleeker lines than this, it truly redefines the words smooth. Everything about the custom Mustang is just wonderful. As you might have noticed, the Mustang was built for Lee Iacocca. Iacocca was involved with the design of several successful Ford automobiles, most notably the Ford Mustang, the Lincoln Continental Mark III, the Ford Fiesta and the revival of the Mercury brand in the late 1960s.
I thought this was a very honorary action by Ford, I just wish they made more of them. Only 45 of these custom Mustang were made. It would of been great if they made this Mustang a true production muscle car, kind of like what Ford did with the Bullitt and the Mach 1 Mustang. But hey, I don't want to be greedy, I'm just glad Ford made this cool muscle car.
Performance wise, Mustang enthusiasts had a choice between a naturally aspirated 4.6 liter engine with 320 horsepower or a supercharged 400 horsepower engine. I definitely would of opted for the supercharged motor, 400 horsepower sounds really good to me. Other mods include a sporty suspension by Ford Racing and a custom interior with Iacocca embroidery all around.
Over all the interior and performances are great, but what's really going to make this muscle car memorable is its exterior. I mean just look at the rear bumper, have you ever seen exhaust tips like that? They are sucked right into the bumper, they blend right in with the bumper, I've been longing to see something like this done on a Ford Mustang. Saleen did it a few times with their models, but nothing quite cool as this. Other cool features I like on the exterior are the aggressive headlights, ponyless grille, and the one of a kind custom 20 inch rims. The louvers on the side of the Mustang window looks great as well.
All in all, this Mustang will go down in muscle car history as the best of the best(Top Gun). I just hope 45 of them make their homes in a caring muscle car owner's garage. If one of them doesn't, I'll make room for you! Lol, yeah in my dreams! Maybe I'll get to see one at the 2010 Woodward Dream Cruise this year, that would be really cool.
