I run a small shop in Colorado specializing in spray on chrome. There are a lot of inaccurate and misleading comments being made about these systems. I have spent a year of my life and thousands of dollars I couldn’t afford getting this process dialed in. There is a huge difference in the chemistry of the different companies. I started using SpectraChrome and didn’t produce one piece I would be comfortable charging a customer for. I then found Cosmichrome. This system DOES work. I spray it everyday and have many happy and repeat customers. I do regular work for artists and accessory businesses, and have several car and motorcycle restoration and custom jobs in the shop right now.
Not everyone with this equipment, regardless of the supplier, is going to do good work. It takes time and money to learn. The results and versatility of the applications are astounding. I just started on a 52 Willys that will be entirely chrome finished with Cosmichrome.
There is a lot of negative propaganda out there, which is unfortunate. It only hurts the industry. This system works.
Before you listen to second or third hand information through the rumor mill, check it out for yourselves. And don’t rely on the propaganda of the manufacturers. Talk to the guys who use the products. Our livelihoods depend on the quality of the products we use.
