Photoshopped Chevy Corvette
Man this muscle car is awesome, some auto enthusiasts photoshopped this Chevy Corvette. Looks like he took a Saleen body kit and attached it to the bottom of the Corvette. Other mods include a massive hood scoop and a huge grille in front to help the radiator cool off the engine of the Corvette. I think this was originally a Corvette ZO6, he must of stretched out the hood scoop on top with a photoshop tool.
Recall on the 2005-07 Chevrolet Corvettes
GM is issuing a recall on 2005 to 2007 Chevrolet Corvettes. The recalls is for all the Chevy Corvettes with removable roofs, supposedly the glue that holds the outer portion of the panel has reported to fail. So when you're at high speeds in your Corvette this could possibly fly off and cause an accident. Corvette owners can contact their local Chevrolet dealer or call the NHTSA hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
2011 Mustang GT Video
Take a test spin in the all new 2011 Ford Mustang GT. The muscle car is packing the new 5.0L engine underneath its hood. This is a big change for the Mustang GT this year, it's a boost of 100 horsepower from the wimpy 4.6L engine the year before. The 5.0L V8 is punching out 412 horsepower to the rear wheels now, pretty amazing to say the least. Finally Ford has stepped up to the table and matched GM's LS3 V8. Other cool features I get from the Mustang video is Brembo brakes, 5.0L badge, sequential tail lights, and a cleaner engine bay. I'm still contemplating if Ford is actually going to release the standard Mustang GT with Brembo brakes, I bet that's an option. Either way, it's pretty cool, when's the last time you seen a stock Ford Mustang with Brembo brakes? I give the 2011 Ford Mustang GT an A+++.
Toyota Recall due to Pedal Flaw
Here you go ricer fans, you get what you deserve! Toyota has just issued the largest shutdown of plants ever in the U.S. due to sticking accelerator pedals. It's really sad because the stereotype has been that foreign cars are better made. I never ever thought that. I've had American cars all my life and never any of them have had any big failures such as this.
Toyota has just issued a production shut down of six Toyota plants. The top-selling car in the U.S. was the Toyota Camry. Now all those people that bought that car may need to bring their Camry into a Toyota dealer to get it fixed. So far the accelerator defect has been lined to 19 deaths and more than 2,000 complaints.
Toyota claims the problem is rare, but I say if it is so rare why are they closing six plants? Maybe because more than 2.3 million vehicles will be recalled! Yeah, that's extremely rare Toyota! So all of you thinking that foreign cars are so much better than American, guess what, you're wrong.
Take what you want from it, I just remember hearing from so many foreign auto owners claiming there cars were bullet proof. I wonder what those Toyota owners are thinking of their bulletproof car now!
Cruising Woodward in Michigan
Over in my city, cruising Woodward has become the muscle car enthusiasts standard thing to do on the weekend. Start your muscle car up around 6:00pm, warm it up a little bit and take it for a stroll up and down Woodard. There's muscle car enthusiasts from all over the state that come to see Woodward on the weekend. It's filled with all types of muscle cars, this includes Mustangs, Vipers, Camaros, Challengers, Corvettes etc... And it really doesn't stop there, occasionally you'll see a few Ferraris and Lamborghinis. It's really one of the biggest things I look forward to ever week. So if you live in Michigan, try cruising Woodward for a change in life. You really don't need a muscle car, but having one makes it a much better experience. Most of the people cruise between 12mile to 15mile on Woodward, hope to see you out there one day!
Ford’s new 5.0L V8 Engine on the Dyno
Check out this awesome video of the 5.0L engine on the dyno, this new V8 engine now pumps out 412 horsepower for the 2011 Ford Mustang GT. As you watch the dyno video you can definitely hear the big horsepower coming out of the engine. It's one serious engine, can't imagine what the new Mustang GT will be able to do in the 1/4 mile with this thing under the hood. I'm definitely hoping for mid 12s!
Dodge Challenger Appearance Package
Dodge has just released a new package to spruce up the looks of the Dodge Challenger. Some muscle car enthusiast were claiming the Challenger was a little to subtle looking, well their prayers have been answered. Check out this picture of the new massive hood scoop, doesn't it just look sweet as hell? There's no word on whether or not the hoods scoop is function, but I have to say you probably could make it. Other features of the appearance package include a cool spoiler in back and strobe stripe performance graphics. There are also some interior mods too, Mopar-branded T-handle shifter, bright pedal kit (for automatic-equipped models only), bright door-sill guards, premium carpet floor mats. It doesn't stop there though muscle car fans, Mopar includes a vehicle cover for your Challenger. That's great if you want to keep the dust of your car and keep her clean! The Challenger apperance package retails for around $1995, not a bad price I think.
Hybrid Muscle Car: Challenger, Camaro, and Mustang
This hybrid muscle car was developed by Robert D., a professional diecast modeler. So yeah it's not a real muscle car, but I still give Robert D credit for creating it, it's really cool looking muscle car. Robert used the accents from each late model muscle car, the new Challenger, Camaro, and the Mustang. My favorite part of the hybrid muscle car is the front, it looks so cool with the orange and black stripes. It goes really well with the rest of the car surprisingly. But other car enthusiasts beg to differ, other auto enthusiasts on blogs say it's quite ugly. I respect their opinion but I think it looks good. So what do you think, do you like the hybrid muscle car?
Best GM Muscle Car Site Around: LS1 Tech
One of the best muscle car sites around for GM fans is LS1 Tech. The muscle car forum is just loaded with information on part installations and cool muscle car pictures. I'm on there almost everyday learning new things about GM muscle cars, it's almost an addiction. The community is growing day to day so I suggest checking them out!
Ford using Virtual Reality
Believe it or not, Ford Motor Company is using virtual reality to help build new age muscle cars. It's being used to improve real-life driving situations before the first prototype is even built. Kind of neat to hear, especially if you're a gamer like me. I wonder who's getting to test the new innovations, would be pretty cool that's for sure. But, I bet Ford is using professionals to test out their new age muscle cars. One reason is they don't want any secrets leaking out about their new vehicles. Especially since I think there's a current race to make the first all electric muscle car.
