2010 Camaro SS V8 Manual Transmission Problem
I've been reading on a lot of Camaro forums that many Camaro owners were complaining about an output shaft failure. To honor all these claims, GM said they would initiate review and long testing of the transmission. After long sessions of testing, GM has concluded that output shaft failure under normal driving conditions are very low (or - if you are into engineer speak, "below tolerance"). In fact, even in the most extreme driving condition, the probability of failure does not significantly change. So all these Camaro owners claiming these failures, do you have any serious modes on your muscle car. Say pumping nitrous into your LS3 engine, maybe a supercharger? And you just take it off when you take the Camaro in for the warranty. I know a lot of muscle car owners that do this, I bet this is what's going on. Or maybe these Camaro owners are just driving their muscle car into the ground, for instance drag racing constantly.
