What in the? That's the first thing I thought when I saw this custom Ford Mustang GT500, better known as Eleanor. Except this isn't a Mustang, it's a smart car turned into a Mustang GT500. I'm not quite sure if I like it, but it is kind of neat. Check out the mini cowl hood in front, kind of cute ya know. Whoever made the Mustang should of made the side pipes functional, it looks so stupid with the blank space in there. And the wheels got to go, I'm guessing they don't make the GT500 wheels in that size, lol? The name is just hilarious, GT 50%, I did get a good kick out of that. Wish they would of used a cuter chick, what is that an Emo girl?
Now this is what I call a clean undercarriage, whoever owns this Dodge Challenger is a lucky person. Everything from the gas tank, to the mufflers, and the exhaust pipes down the middle are nicely polished. I can't imagine what it takes to keep an undercarriage clean like this, it's not easy job man. First you have to polish it up with sandpaper, going up in grit every few hours, then top it off with a nice buff job. Lots of time and money have gone into this amazing muscle car, very pleased with the result. This is definitely a show car! Props to whoever's Dodge Challenger this is.
I really don't talk much about the Ford GT, but I would like to make an article right now to show how much I actually love this muscle car. It's truly a unique muscle car that will go down in my book as one of my favorites. The car's curves are just so awesome, there's is not one color that looks bad on the Ford GT. Everything from red, white, and black, they all look truly amazing on the muscle car. The two stripes going down the middle also add a nice touch. And the power out of these muscle cars are just impeccable. Believe me, there's a reason why Ford has dubbed this muscle car the Ferrari killer. The 550 horsepower 5.4 liter engine is just a beast, I also liked how you could see it from the back window. Ford kind of copied off of a Ferrari, but who cares, the car is still unique in its own right. It's just too bad Ford stopped making these cars, I absolutely loved them!
Hurst and Ford have been working for years, it's no surprise that one of Hurt's Mustangs will be a pace car at this year's Ford Racing Mustang Challenge race at Virginia International Raceway on April 25, 2010. After the race the muscle car will go up for sale at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. All the proceeds will benefit Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer. Only one of these Hurst convertible Mustang pace cars will be made.
This is just an awesome picture of a red Ford Shelby GT500 Mustang. Everything from the head lights being on in the day light and the cool glare going over the red paint of the muscle car. That's what makes this picture somewhat different then others, having the head lights on during day light. I like pictures like this, gives a unique trait to them.
Some automotive enthusiasts say the GT500 is not as good looking as the original, well that may be true in certain aspects, but not as a whole. I think Ford did a great job with the whole muscle car reviving it from the dead, I don't think they could of done a better job. The great thing about the Shelby GT500 too is you don't have to do any performance modifications or customizations to the exterior of the muscle car. It's just absolutely perfect the way it is! If you have the money, go and get one, you will be very impressed with the performance and the style. It's well worth the price Ford is asking for one!
It's funny I've been talking about electric muscle cars in previous articles this week, because one of my favorite electric car companies is starting to take off. You might of heard of them, they are called Tesla Motors. Yeah, they've had some ups and downs in the last few years. But, that's what happens when you're an inexperience car company trying to build an all electric sports car. It's not a real easy thing to do ya know, it's going to take time, money, and a lot of effort.
Latest news from Tesla Motors is they are planning to build more cars and give up information on some additional models coming for the future. The Model S is expected to surface in 2012 with a price tag of $50,000, around half the price of the Roadster. Lets just hope they get the safety standards right this time. Before they couldn't pass the 2008 air bag standars. There were other problems as well, but I think they are on track now. It will be interesting to see who's electric car is better, Teslas or the other ones GM and many other car companies are building. It sure would be great to see a small company like Tesla come out on top!
Motorz is known for helping out muscle car enthusiasts with performance parts installations. In this episode, Motorz shows us how install a cool custom body kit on a Ford Mustang GT. This is no ten minute installation, it's going to take some time and patience to get this job done right. But, Motorz walks us through every step so we install the body kit perfectly. The results are fascinating, the muscle car Mustang turns out great and I love the chrome wheels they picked out for the Mustang GT. Can't wait to see what Motorz has next on their list, I would love to see a supercharger install, something big ya know...
To celebrate the legendary Hemi Cuda muscle cars, Mr. Norm's garage is converting the latest Dodge challenger into a modern age Hemi Cuda. Down below is a large collection of pictures of what the cool muscle car looks like. They are using a reds, white, and blue pain scheme on the exterior of the car. Other modifications on the muscle car include a custom cuda grille, hood scoop, retro style wheels, and a Kenne Bell supercharger. This baby is so powerful it is making 625 horsepower to the rear wheels. And if that's not enough, they have a package for the Hemi Cuda Challenger boasting 900 horsepower. Just like the bad ass Charger from Fast and Furious. This is one serious modern age muscle car!
